ABOUT

Danylo Taran is an authentic filmmaker born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
He has directed more than a dozen of short films in Los Angeles since 2021. In addition, Danylo writes and edits his projects, coupled with strong skills in cinematography to support the vision.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from the New York Film Academy (NYFA).
He works at Scissor Films as an assistant editor on promos, commercials, tv shows, and behind-the-scenes videos.

Dedicated to creating stories in the native language, and the struggle his country faces. Danylo excels at exploring troubled people through the lens of darkness with drops of comedy, as he believes that even in the worst of situations, one should find the strength to laugh. Danylo is in pursuit of representing Ukrainian cinema across the globe, with plans to provide work opportunities for filmmakers at home and grow future talent.
